"Workin' for a Livin'" was a single from the Huey Lewis and the News 1982 album Picture This. It didn't quite make the top forty, peaking at number 41. The song was written by Huey Lewis and Chris Hayes and was produced by the band along with Bob Brown. The short-lived 1992 sitcom "Rachel Gunn, R.N." used a version of the song as its opening theme.
